Dr. Tal Biron-Shental currently works as an attending physician of obstetrics and gynecology at Meir medical center, Kfar Saba, affiliated to Tel –Aviv University.
She earned a medical degree from The Technion – Israel Institution of Technology. Following a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Meir medical center in Kfar saba, she sub-specialized in maternal-fetal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital affiliated to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
She studied preeclampsia, hypertension in pregnancy, intrauterine growth restriction, gestational diabetes, thrombophilic disorders, prediction and prevention of preterm birth as well as other obstetrical complications.
She has been a co-investigator and principal investigator on basic science and clinical research of different studies in the field of maternal fetal medicine.
She currently is responsible for the maternal fetal and high risk unit in Meir Medical Center and takes care of patients with high risk pregnancies and obstetrical complications including prenatal care, labor and delivery as well as caesarean sections and post partum complications, She also teaches medical students and residents in obstetrics and gynecology.
